Treatment is a separate direction in physical training. The main cause of sports injuries are usually physical factors, but psychological also play an important role. Sports psychologists Mark Anderson and Gene Williams (1988) analyzed the role that psychological factors play in sports injuries. The relationship between sports injuries and psychological factors is seen mainly as stress. In particular, a potentially stressful sports situation (for example, competitions, training, poor performance can lead to injury, depending on the athlete and how threatening he considers the situation.

- Teach athletes to cope with stress.
